These uptown New Orleans in-home engagements were so much fun to photograph. We first met Erin and Tim at Kelly and Dane’s wedding (check it out here) where their dance moves were a sure sign that we were going to love working with them.
Their engagement session started at Erin’s uncle’s home that held an eclectic art collection and a lush garden area. The home was the perfect spot for some sentimental and cozy photographs to start out their session. Erin and Tim lived in the house together for a while, making the space is meaningful to their relationship and perfect for their engagement photos. After working with window light to create some moody photos in this house filled with art, we were even more smitten to explore the courtyard garden attached. After that, we headed to one of their favorite nearby bars, Saint Jo’s, for blueberry mojitos before getting to the Audubon Park‘s tree of life at sunset to finish up the evening.
Erin and Tim, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your engagement and wedding. We are excited to work with you again. Here are a few of our favorite images from Erin and Tim’s Uptown New Orleans engagements:
Choosing half indoor and half outdoor locations for engagement sessions can really help to beat the Louisiana heat. We love that Erin and Tim choose an indoor location first, followed by an outdoor location right as the sun was setting.
