Jason proposed to Lauren on Easter weekend in St. George island on the same beach where he first told her he loved her seven years ago.
“It was such a sweet & private moment between the two of us & then we met up with family to celebrate with oysters & drinks. I’ll never forget how excited I was that day to finally get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.”
When they first contacted us, Lauren & Jason told us that they were thinking of having an RT Lodge Tennessee wedding, not far from where Jason’s family lived. We headed out to East Tennessee & joined them for their rehearsal dinner the night before. It was so sweet to hear their family & friends toast to the soon to be married couple. We got to hear a little more about their history & their story, which made photographing their wedding day even more special to us. Their friends were so much fun to be around & it was so easy to see how much both of their families meant to them. After a sweet intimate ceremony (that ended with Lauren getting a little of her red lipstick on Jason which allowed for the sweetest little post kiss moment) the two of them headed to their beautiful tented reception. Lauren even shed a little tear when she walked in because the reception was absolutely stunning. A Stevie Nicks tambourine made it’s way out onto the dance floor & everyone celebrated with them under the stars on that warm Tennessee night.
“The whole evening was everything we dreamed of. Fun, casual, and surrounded by our closest family and friends. Our wedding ceremony was very intimate and special. I loved walking down the aisle towards Jason with both of my parents on each arm and seeing my future husband’s sweet smile the second I turned the corner.”
Lauren & Jason, you two are such sweet souls. We can’t thank you enough for allowing us to be there & witness such a beautiful day. Here are a few of our favorite images from their wedding day:
