Kiri and Deuce’s Downtown Lafayette wedding day was actually my birthday and I couldn’t have spent it with a better group.  Here’s what the two of them said about their day:
Kiri:
“Deuce and I never imagined having a big, traditional wedding. We always thought we would take a trip somewhere, just us two and our parents, and have a really small, intimate wedding. The day we got engaged, we drove to my parents’ house to celebrate and quickly realized that our plan to have a small, intimate wedding was not going to happen. With that being said, we wouldn’t go back and change a single thing. Getting married to Deuce not only symbolized a huge commitment to one another for life – it also symbolized two families and sets of friends becoming one. It just made perfect sense to have all of the people we love the most (and that’s A LOT of people) there with us on such a special day. Some of my favorite moments from the day were getting ready with my parents and all of my best friends on the earth, reading the most special vows Deuce wrote to me in a letter, and dancing our first dance to Tiny Dancer. We always dance in front of the huge window in our living room, and during our first dance, Deuce leaned in and said, “This is just like dancing in the living room.” You know it’s a room full of love when there are 300 people around you and that still feels like home.”
Deuce:
“The day of my wedding was one I will cherish for life. The day began with beers and laughs with my buddies reminiscing about the night before. As the day rolled on I felt a confidence and calmness about what the day meant and was yet to bring. It is hard to choose what moment I could call my favorite, but, ultimately, my favorite moment was seeing my bride for the first time. She looked amazing and I needed all my grit to keep the joyful tears away. During the months which preceded the wedding, I would envision what Kiri was going to look like and each time it made me so happy. However, seeing it actually all unfold and seeing Kiri in her beautiful dress was beyond my wildest imagination. She amazed me with her beauty and that moment was not only one of my favorite moments of the day but is now one of my favorite moments of my life.”
