This New Orleans French Quarter newlywed session was such a special one. Jay and Ferrell got married in Kansas City in July and stopped over in New Orleans on the way to their honeymoon. Ferrell is a floral designer at The Cottage Rose , and in her first email expressed her love for plants. She brought over some floral designs for the session, and left the location up to us. We were so excited to collaborate with them.
We knew right away that Esplanade Avenue near the quarter would be the perfect place. Plants galore and the colorful French Quarter houses make this street one of our favorites to shoot on for so many reasons. July is a hot month in New Orleans, so we all agreed that shooting in the morning might be better off. Thad and I met the two of them at their stylish Air Bnb with an awesome courtyard pool, and just a quick walk from all of the best spots to shoot. The soft, even morning light, Ferrell’s floral designs, the two’s eclectic style, came together with our favorite street in the city.
Jay and Ferrell, thanks so much for a great morning. You two were a blast to work together and we hope that the travel wedding vendor stars align and we can work together one day in the future! Here are a few of our favorite images from their French Quarter newlywed session.
