There were so many wonderful reasons to love this sweet Downtown New Orleans Wedding.
We first met Jordan and Casey a few months before for their engagement session. They brought along their sweet puppy Carl. People who love dogs are our favorite kind of people, so we knew right away that working with them would be wonderful.
Jordan got ready with her mom, sister, and a couple of her closest friends at the Roosevelt Hotel before meeting Casey on the rooftop for their first look. The air was crisp and cool and we could see the top of Immaculate Conception Church which is where the two of them would tie the knot just a couple of hours later. Their first look was a sweet one – full of smiles, excitement, and a couple of happy tears. After a few moments together, admiring each other and the view of their church, their family and friends came up to meet us for some photos. Casey had a toast with his friends at the Sazerac bar downstairs and Jordan went back to her room for touchups before heading to the church.
Their wedding ceremony was held in a beautiful church and Casey was beaming just much as when Jordan walked down the aisle as he did when he saw her on the rooftop. They tied the knot and it was on to the reception.
Jordan and Casey invited their family and friends to join them at the Riverview Room after the ceremony. The rooftop venue gave their guests great views of both the Mississippi River and bridge and the French Quarter. They had guests from all different walks of their lives, and everyone came together to celebrate the two of them. The evening was so filled with love and encouragement.
One of my favorite parts of shooting weddings in New Orleans is seeing people second line for the first time. It’s a wedding tradition like no other and we love shooting them. At the end of the night they second lined to Hotel Monteleone led by Kinfolk Brass Band. Second lining through the quarter is especially exciting, and it was the perfect high note to end the evening on.
Jordan and Casey, thank you for having us. Here are a few of our favorite images from their wedding day:
