How to prepare for an engagement session
Being able to live and do photography in New Orleans keeps us constantly inspired. This city has so much to offer, and we know that this list will continue to grow as we explore, but for now here’s our best tips to help you have a fool-proof, swoon-worthy engagement session.
You’ve got questions
How does this work?
Inquire through our booking page. If we’re available on your date, we start the conversation to see if we’re a good fit. If so, we’ll send over an invoice for a deposit and photography agreement to lock in your date. From there, we work with you to create a timeline to ensure no moments are missed. Day-of, we show up ready to capture you candidly and artistically, gently guiding you toward the best light. You can relax knowing your day is being beautifully captured by professionals. Sneak peeks are delivered within one to two weeks, and your full gallery will be available in four to six weeks. We select and edit the best images and make them available via digital download.
How many outfits should I plan for my session?
We recommend bringing only one outfit you know you love and feel comfortable in. Less changing means more time to shoot and less stress.
How do i choose a location for my shoot?
We love when couples choose a place that is meaningful to them and their relationship, or somewhere they like to go to relax and have fun! The bar where you met, the park where you had your first date, or even the first neighborhood you lived in together are all sweet options.
Do you shoot surprise proposals?
We would be happy to capture the moment you pop the question! Sometimes the logistics can be tricky , but we will do our best to stick to your plan.
What if i feel awkward in front of the camera?
You’re not alone! Most people need direction and encouragement for portraits, and we’ll do our best to make you feel as comfortable as possible while guiding you to your best angles and lighting.
