Sunnie and David’s San Antonio, Texas Confluence park wedding was bright, colorful, and full of personal details.
Sunnie got ready at a beautiful, architectural air bnb with a few of her closest friends and family members. David was nearby at the house that he and Sunnie’s beautiful home with friends. They met up at at Confluence Park, which was designed by Sunnie’s architecture firm, for their wedding ceremony. Sunnie and David’s friends Emily and Mitch played music and a sweet neighborhood pup joined us right as the ceremony was beginning. Their ceremony was held by a friend which made it so sweet and personal. Once the two said “I do” they second lined around the park with a brass band to kick off the party. The sun set and the moon rose, as everyone danced to celebrate the two newly weds.
“Confluence Park is such a special place for us to get married, not just because my firm designed the project – I was on the design team! I saw the project from design and my boss and I drew the documents and managed the project thru construction on our firm’s end Dave and I met riding bikes – and on our rides together along the mission reach bike paths, we’d ride up to the site and I would show him as each new petal was raised, and set into place. (I remember walking up to the construction site for the first time with my ring on after we got engaged – and all the guys were cheering like kids they were so happy for us.) The building of the project happened at the funnest times while we were dating, and we got to celebrate together at the opening ceremony, by that time we were engaged! The first time Dave and I met was on the trails past the park and south of downtown – so this area in the city holds a special place in our hearts – and we continue to do our weekly rides in the area.”
