Christina and Andy came all the way from San Francisco to Elope amongst the majestic mossy oaks New Orleans City Park. Thad and I arrived early to scope around potential spots, noting how it felt like the spring was turning into summer. But the air was breezy and clouds rolled in and out creating pockets of light and shadows all across the oaks. We spotted Christina and Andy crossing the bridge over from Cafe Du Monde and waved a big hello to them from afar.
We shared some “it’s so nice to meet you” hugs, and “congrats it’s your freakin wedding day” giddy smiles before strolling through the park so that they could pick out a spot that felt like the right spot to say “I do” in. They readily picked one of our favorite spots: an alley way of mossy oaks, whose arms intertwine forming the perfect natural archway for their nuptials.
Christina and Andy’s wedding officiant swept in right on time with a big smile and hugs all around. She noted how city park was a place she could never tire of – and that it felt so fresh and full of oxygen this time of year. We were all happy to be in that beautiful place on that day. The two said their vows and sealed with a kiss.
We had only met Christina and Andy officially about an 20 minutes before they were married, but we were so giddy and excited for them that day. They were all love and good vibes, and the afternoon was (literally) a walk in the park. Special thank you to Thistle Company for providing the gorgeous florals.
