Shanece + Jarrid’s Austin Chapel Dulcinea elopement was a perfect example that fewer guests doesn’t mean less love. So many 2020 plans have been uprooted, and these two didn’t let anything stop them from feeling the full range of emotion and happiness on their wedding day as their friends and family cheered them on via zoom from afar.
I met Shanece at the refined and swanky Hotel Van Zandt to photograph the finishing touches of her getting ready, and her beautiful details styled by her planner Ashley from Saunter weddings. After we zipped Shanece up into her dress, we all headed to Austin’s gorgeous Chapel Dulcinea for their first look and wedding ceremony. Meanwhile, Thad was already at the chapel with Jarrid photographing some finishing touches of him getting ready as well. So much thought went into the details, and even the purples in the color palette were a tribute to Shanece’s mother.
Shanece and Jarrid shared a sweet first look before the ceremony and it was all smiles from there. When we walked up to the chapel, Shanece got a little teary-eyed as their friends and musicians played flute and guitar to her walking down the aisle to Jarrid. Friends and family tuned on live to watch the whole ceremony on zoom, making what seemed like an intimate ceremony in person feel even more connected as all of their friends and family got to watch from the safety of their homes. They opted to have their officiant stand off to the side so that the two of them could listen to his words but focus on each other. They shared heartfelt, handwritten vows and sealed their marriage with a kiss. They shared a cake cutting and a champagne toast before their morning Austin Chapel Dulcinea elopement concluded.
