5 Stay and Play New Orleans Wedding and Elopement Venues
On any given wedding day, there’s a lot going on. From coordinating guests to communicating with vendors, lots of planning goes into making your big day perfect.
One lesson we have learned from our years as experienced wedding photographers is the fewer the location changes, the better, especially in a city as topsy-turvy as New Orleans, where plans can turn on a dime.
We love when our couples keep it simple by booking their big day all in one place. Less traveling means fewer logistics and more time to enjoy your day.
Below are a few of our favorite “stay and play” New Orleans wedding venues. By that, we mean spaces that allow couples to get ready, get married, take photos and party all in one place.
In no particular order:
Hotel Peter and Paul
Another Marigny favorite is Hotel Peter and Paul. This former church, school, convent and rectory features unique, photo-ready rooms, a decommissioned Catholic church and plenty of outdoor space to party.
Ace Hotel New Orleans
Modern and hip, this downtown New Orleans hotel is a favorite. Thoughtfully designed rooms, dark and moody ceremony spaces, a rooftop pool and multiple courtyards make this venue a favorite destination for couples looking for an all-inclusive experience.
The Mazant
This Greek Revival bed and breakfast in the Bywater moonlights as a wedding venue. The 1880s mansion sits on a triple lot, allowing you and your guests plenty of room to stay and play in one place for both the ceremony and the reception.
Terrell House
You and your guests will feel right at home at this elegant bed and breakfast located in the Lower Garden District. The sprawling property boasts three distinct lodgings and a brick courtyard with a bubbling fountain perfect for dancing the night away.
The Columns Hotel
This newly renovated New Orleans legend faces the famous oak-lined St. Charles Avenue, and feels both welcoming and private. You and your crew can take advantage of the ideal location and brand new garden, rooftop sundeck and infamous patio bar at this Uptown haunt.
